Dog Treadmill Reviews

Dog treadmill reviews are hard to come by because there is such a small market for them right now.  The best dog treadmill will always have a couple key elements to it.  In this review we will discuss what you're looking for and what you're not when looking for a good dog treadmill.

Your dog needs the appropriate amount of exercise and we're here to make sure that you can achieve that.  Giving your dog or pet enough exercise can be a VERY challenging task especially if you have a full time job, have children, or have any type of a social life.  We're not saying that it's easy for those who don't have social lives but it makes it hard to maintain a good healthy lifestyle when you have other things in your life that need to be prioritized higher than a pet's exercise.  We'll get into more detail about which dog treadmills are best for your home as we go throughout this review.  We'll base our decision on a lot of things like price, size, speeds, styles, shipping costs, and overall appeal.

Price: When you're buying a dog treadmill you NEED to make sure to get the best treadmill for your money.  Our suppliers have GREAT prices which we're able to pass onto you as the consumer.  A dog treadmill should never really cost you more than $1,500 unless it's plated in gold and has a butler that comes with it.  The majority of our treadmills cost between $300 and $1,300 so we'd like you to browse our products and see which one works best for you.  Usually the biggest factor, when it comes to price, is when you add side rails to the treadmill.  That makes the biggest price difference because it makes the biggest and most positive difference when you're training your dog to use the treadmill.  You can read more about our side rails in other articles if you'd like.

Size: This is HUGE because if you get a treadmill that is too small then you could be dealing with quite the issue when it comes to returning the treadmill.  Our return policy is great but still it's a hassle.  If you buy a treadmill that is too big it won't really matter too much because it'll give your pet more room to run and maneuver on the treadmill.  The extra space also lowers stress and anxiety for the pet during training.  Now, there are usually 3 different sizes that are: Small, Medium, and Large.
  • Small = 0-30 LBS
  • Medium = 30-60 LBS
  • Large = 60-150 LBS

Now, let's talk about the actual dimensions of the treadmill.  The dimensions of a dog treadmill are VERY important because it's important that your dog has enough room to run on the actual band part of the treadmill.  If the dog goes out on the side that is stationary it could injure itself by falling or even getting caught between the side and the band.

Here are the dimensions for small medium and large:
  • Small = 30 inch length x 14 inch width
  • Medium = 47 inch length x 17 inch width
  • Large = 75 inch length x 17 inch length

The MAJORITY of our best dog treadmills come mostly built and requiring very little assembly which is nice because it saves you time.

Speed: Our treadmills usually range from 0-8 MPH.  Most of them don't go higher than 5 MPH but we do have a couple that can go up higher.  It's not really important to have a treadmill that goes extremely fast because a consistent steady pace is going to be the best exercise method.  If you have more questions about speed then you can email us those questions.

Styles: By styles we mean a treadmill with rails or without rails.  We also have some treadmills that look like hamster cages.  These aren't as popular as the traditional dog treadmills but we do sell several of them a month.  The treadmills with rails are definitely our best sellers because they're safe, reliable, and it's easier to train your dogs if you have rails.
